Re: Variable in LIMIT clause
While it is indeed annoying not to have this feature, here's my workaround:
set @n=0;
select * from foo where (@n:=@n+1) between a and b;
Works in MySQL 5.1.25. @n has to be a user variable, but a and b can be anything.
I agree that texted SQL is not the way to go.
