Re: Inserting errors into logs

I'm going to guess that "SQLSTATE '23000'" means it only works for one specific type of error.

I want to have an error handler that will work for any type of error and write in my error log table a text description of what type of error it is or write an error number into my error log table.

So how do I get a error number or an error description from inside the error handler?
