ah... and ... hmmm.

So IF it is available in the 5.7.36 versions we have that must mean somebody, at sometyime, has literally created/instaled it then?

I smell the hand of a developer ...

Meanwhile, where might I even find this function in the mysql instances that have it ? eg which schema/table?

I cant "see" it with a show function status (or procedure - I tried both). ?
