Triggers are not activated by foreign key actions.

The MySQL documentation states "Triggers are not activated by foreign key actions." I find this hugely annoying, especially for cascading deletes where columns in other tables need to be updated after a record is deleted. After all this time, is there any plan to fix this behavior?
