Suppressing triggers while restoring a database

Is it possible to temporarily suppress triggers while restoring a database from a mysqdumpfile? I don't want all the INSERTs to trigger other table changes. The CREATE TRIGGER commands are saved in the dump file, but are commented out, and I guess a DROP TRIGGER ought to be added as well, before the INSERTs.
