By a 'shadowtable' do you mean a table whose data exactly duplicates the data of the 'device' table? In which case, why are all these inserts, deletes and updates to 'shadow' necessary on every little change to the 'device' table? Or do you mean something else? Is 'device' the table being shadowed? Does "foreach device from table device" mean "for every value of the column named device in the table named device"? Perhaps when you have more time, you will make all this clear enough so someone here can help you.
