How to create fields to store images and songs

Hi,

I need to put images and songs in my database. I'm new to MySQL, and I don't know how to do this. Could anyone tell me how to store this kind of data (which is not a number, not text, date etc) in MySQL, and how to subsequently read them? It would be nice if there was a way to set up the whole thing so, when the user wants to fill a song or image, they get a prompt for the file name on their computer to be uploaded on the MySQL server, and a link to this uploaded file goes in the database entry for that song or image. Anyone knows how to do this?
