MySQL upgrade problem on new mac os x 10.6
It seems that my older mysql-5.0.51a-osx10.5-x86_64 did not work on the new Snow Leopard so I downloaded and installed mysql-5.4.1-beta-osx10.5-x86_64 from mysql.com
My problem now is that all my databases is in the old MySQL folder and I try to copy them over to the new one from the terminal using the command:
cp -R /usr/local/mysql-5.0.51a-osx10.5-x86_64/data/ayianapa /usr/local/mysql-5.4.1-beta-osx10.5-x86_64/data/
I can see that the database "ayianapa" get's copied to the new /data directory BUT my MySQL client or Apache don't recognize the database that I moved. So I need some help here.
