Rick, Thanks for the response. The during last 15 years I have been mainly in management with little or no hands on time. When I lost my job (because I refused to sign a waiver of a right to a jury trial, should there be any future litigation) I have been designing this producted.
I use to be very good at data convertion, but it has been years. The problem boils down to I really didn't understand the data I was working with which I received from the State. Among other things the fields are delimited by vertical tabs.
So, once again, thanks for your help.
