cant use mysql
Ive installed mysql community edition. it was full of problems, the connector odbc wouldnt install first time, but subsequently ok. I really didnt know what was going on (im a beginer). there were too many options. my guide just didnt show the same illustration as what was on my screen. i ideally wanted to install the minimum (im learning php and mysql) so it wouldnt clutter my hard drive. I dont even know how to uninstal it. however, what caused my main misery was the mysql command line client wont launch. please help! (please explain in less technical language)
