Very little in MysqlTuner might solve a "crash". Please describe further what happened.
SSH -- I doubt it. If you are on the same machine where the server is, you can talk to the server via the commandline "mysql" tool.
The Tuner suggests changing some settings; they are found in my.ini or my.cnf (depending on what operating system you are using).
