Peter is correct--4.0.20 is on the order of 10 years old, and the 4.0 series was retired in 2005-2006. I don't think it's even available from our archives any longer.
Go to
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/ and follow the link to "MySQL COmmunity Server"; there you can select the correct platform and then the type of download package (in your case, source) for that platform, for the latest supported release (currently MySQL 5.6.21).
I'd also recommend you get the most recent version of the software you're installing that requires MySQL. A version that is intended to work with MySQL 4.0 is very likely not going to work with MySQL 5.6.
In general, you should always try to use the most recent software releases so you can get all bug fixes and improvements.
