Barry: FYI My client is 25 miles away. I think the error was "MySQLinstaller has encountered an error and cannot proceed, please contact vendor."
The service was not running properly because workbench would not link to the database. As, I said before, since Mysqlinstaller crashed, I used Window add/remove programs to try and uninstall. I did not get errors doing that. I then tried to reinstall but MySQLinstaller crashes and gives the same error as above.
My client does have a backup.
Mysqlinstaller is seeing something it doesn't like. Is there any way to completely remove all MYSQL code so I can do a clean install.
