Mysql Upgrade

Hi

I have a web site which is backend is mysql 5.5 and I am planning to upgrade to mysql 5.6 version,however I notice there are sql syntax not support in mysql 5.6 version,so Is there any method for upgrade mysql version without any code level change in web application.
