hi

I haven't used MySQL for a several years and seem to have forgotten how to login. I deleted all my old MySQL stuff, installed a fresh copy for my system (Mac OS 10.8.x) fired up the terminal and typed

sudo /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqladmin -u root

After entering sudo password, the terminal printed:

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqladmin Ver 8.42 Distrib 5.6.31, for osx10.8 on x86_64

tried other commands as well such as: "port", "socket" etc. Same "command not found" for all of them.

Anyone see what I'm doing wrong? This is a brand new MySQL installed at 8:30 PM this evening.

Thanks for any help
