php_mysqli.dll instead of php_mysql.dll (sorry, doesn't work)

Ok read here:
http://php.grn.es/manual/en/ref.mysqli.php

That it's the php_mysqli.dll extension and not php_mysql.dll the one to use with version 4.1.3 or above of of Mysql (I have 4.14).

I erased the php_mysql.dll completely and put the php_mysqli in the PHP\ext folder.

Still things don't work...

anyone oging to help me here with the previous questions please?
