BAD Install MySQL Server 5.6 Winx64

Several repeated install attempts on Win-7 Pro SP-1, HP Pavilion p7-1257c 8GB Ram. Received error: "Install error: 50 - change state request failed. Product not installed." Detail reviels... "Could not acccess network location \Hewlett-Packard\\.
Workbench 5.3 CE installs OK, but MySql app not installed.
Note: Issue may have something to do with HP Desktop and assumption that HP software objects in register. PC origionally delivered with Win-7 Home (OS) and HP software from manufacturer. Win-7 Pro SP-1 installed over origional (OS) which probably overlaid and HP software components.
Would appreciate any assistance in resolution.
