Time Periods
Hello!
I was wondering what the best approach would be. We collect statistics once a week. We have 6 week "periods" (transfers) that we also base some reporting on. I have no idea what would be considered a "good" way to assign each weeks' statistics to the current period or transfer in the database. Should I have a table that holds the start dates statically? or is there a way to generate the list of dates on the fly? I think it makes more sense to have it generated on the fly, but then how would I "link" the entered data to the generated field?
If anyone has ideas (or needs more clarification) please let me know. Help is very much appreciated!
