Are you just trying to make changes to the current databese??Why have multiple databases?Usually it you have a system, it does all of the database changes for you. However if you dont have a system look into mysql Gui tools. This includes workbench and query browser and administrator. These tools allow easy database table design changes and table data changes. They also include an easy backup/restore utility that you just have to set up by selecting the database you want to backup, the time you want to do it and how often. you can find info about this here:
