hard to say what's going on there. Looks like you are in an RDP session (Win Server?). Did you try the latest WB version?
For the second error: see that you have a connection defined (in the left column on the homescreen) and then open the instance manager (last link, right column) and make sure your instance gets the connection assigned. It should then open fine (provided the python error does not appear again).
If you still see this trouble then please file a bug report for it and attach the log file (Help -> Show Log).
