MySQL rookie so I apologize up front.
I currently have a 5.5.19 Win64 community server running and need to upgrade to 5.6. I downloaded the 243MB mysql-installer-community-5.6.17.0.msi installer (because this server is not connected to the internet) for the upgrade, however, when running the msi, it's stating that the MySQL server will be upgraded to 5.5.36.
Also, even though I check on the "skip update check" radio button, it is still trying to download the mysql-server-5.5-winx64 whereupon it fails.
Should the 5.6.17 msi be upgrading my 5.5.19 server to 5.5.36??? And can I ignore the download error?
