max_allowed_packet value for LONGBLOB

Hi,

I have a doubt in that how mysql handles LONGBLOB values given the max allowed packet size.

As per the documentation, the max value of a LONGBLOB is 4GB and the max value of max_allowed_packet is 1 GB then how will the LONGBLOG value greater than 1GB size will be handled?

Please pardon me if this is a naive question but I didn't find any concrete answer to it while googling.

Thanks,
Prashant
