Change that to 0 or 2 for extra speed.
The buffer pool is over 8GB; I hope you have at least 10GB of ram. Otherwise you may be swapping.
Even at the "slow" rate of the deletes, you could delete all the rows in under 3 days. Isn't that plenty fast?
And, I repeat, the INSERTs and DELETEs won't step on each other; don't worry about them running at the same time.
