I don't understand very much of your answer. The problem is not going about the indexes I use or the sense of these indexes, although I appreciate any advice on that.

The problem is that mysql doesn't use indexes when you have an autoincrement field in your table, that is what my output to you tells me and what explain, explains us.

And I want to use indexes and well the index that I found is usefull. So, in my opinion this is still no anwer for this problem.

In my eyes the range of the rows that mysql shows using like seems to be unpredictable. Sometimes it uses an index and other times it doesn't. Espacially when you have an autoincrement field in your table.

So maybe you can make your answer more clear to me. Because I don't know at this moment what I do wrong.
