MySQL Cluster and Heterogeneous Nodes
I was wondering if it would be possible to setup two heterogeneous MySQL Cluster nodes. For example, give one raid 5, and the other raid 0. Would it be possible to configure things so that more reads go to the raid 5, and more writes to the raid 0? Or maybe just split the load so that both are about equally busy (i.e. neither is acting as a chokepoint?)
Incidently, what happens if the management server fails? Is it possible to have two management servers? What would happen if the primary management server failed and something went wrong with the database nodes that required the management server to intervene? Would the second take over or would the system fail?
I was discussing MySQL Cluster, and these questions came up to which I had no answer.
Thanks,
-Dan
