faster dual core, or slower quad core performance

We are putting together a new 6 node ndb cluster.

Which configuration would give better performance, everything being equal but the CPUs.

2 x dual core 3ghz cpus
or
2 x quad core 2.33ghz cpus

(latest intel core 2 xeon processors)

I've read that MySQL doesn't scale well with more cores, but I'm not sure how that would relate the cluster storage engine.
