Okay this patch worked (previously, myODBC was crashing ER/Studio which is not a good look).
Installed ...patch3.zip and ER/Studio is happy but cannot fetch any data from my ODBC call.
The SQL Log (SQL trace) is all good, except SQLFetch is returning code 100 (SQL_NO_DATA_FOUND) which sounds like a permissions problem.
I tried the exact same ODBC call to link mySQL table to MS Access database. It works fine and the SQL trace is complete and comprehensive - all successful.
I'll continue exploring this problem.
