I am getting the same errors randomly on two different servers. Sometimes it just crashes the whole program and I have no idea why. Windows 7 MySQL Workbench 6.1.

I tried going into Edit > Preferences > SQL Editor and setting DBMS connection read time out (in seconds) to 6000 (from 600) as suggested on StackOverflow but that only worked temporarily and I'm not sure how would fix it anyways (it only sets how long the program will wait for data to be retrieved, and the error manifests itself within seconds of logging in and selecting rows from a table).

Any suggestions for troubleshooting or fixing this would be greatly appreciated, as I'm not even able to see the error in Windows 7.
