Will MySQL Connector/ Net 5 run in medium trust?

Apologies if this has been posted before, but for the life of me I can’t find anything:
Will MySQL Connector/Net 5 be able to run in medium trust mode?
I’m experiencing the “trust” issue with my hosting provider (and a search indicates that this is a common problem from developers using .net 2.0 and shared hosting) – and so far the only way round it I can find is to us ODBC. The server is set to run in medium trust (as is the recommendation from Microsoft for shared hosting) and the Connector 1 required full trust
