None of the suggestions above worked for me.
I used to have .net connector 1.0.7, 1.0.9, 5.0.3 and 5.0.8 installed, but 5.2.3 refused to install. After follwoing the leads in this thread I probably screwed up my registry and GAC - but 5.2.3 still refuses to install.
None of the connectors show up in the windows install clean up.
Can anybody please help me with this very annoying problem?
