Connector/MXJ Embedded Java Application

Hi All,

I plan to have use MySQL as embedded database to my Java Application.
I know that Connector/MXJ allow me to do this and I have try it out and it works.
But I do have some question about this connector.

a) It appear that this connector is in beta version, is there any target release date?
b) Is there anyway I can administrator the database I created, such as GUI that allow me to run SQL and get the data and also see the access right for the table?
c) For the embedded mode, is it that we cannot have concurrent use of the database but I notice that in the MySQL Embedded Whitepaper, it mention they have row locking feature. It seems to be confusing.

Would appreciate some gurus can give some ponder on this.
Thanks in advance.
