Thank you for the answer and for the links.

Yes, I am receiving (and expecting) exceptions for both tests.

I receive the same sql state (08S01) for both tests, also posting exception stacktraces below.

About your question, i unplug the network cable during step#2 (and keep it unplugged for the rest of the test). host1 is a remote machine, while host2 is actually localhost.

By the way, i thought it may be because i haven't configured loadBalanceBlacklistTimeout. But i also repeated same tests with a failover url and got same results.
