This is how you can import a MS Sql. bak to MySQL

Hi everyone,

I solved this by using the Microsoft SQL Desktop Engine, restoring the .bak file to create a live ODBC datasource. From there any number of software products can help you convert an ODBC datasource to a mySQL database.

I'm assuming that the ODBC to mySQL part is fairly straight forward for users of this forum.
