The only way I can think that this is possible is to set up a trigger to write to a table containing notifcation information, then set up a CRON job which checks the table periodically (say, evey minute) for new entries, and sends an email if it finds new entries in the table. Currently, there is no way to directly intergrate the local email server within the server.
