Calculating RAM dedicated to web server

Hello,
I am trying to get an value of the max clients for the prefork MPM.
In the formula it says max clients = Total RAM dedicated to web server / Max child process size.
How can I find out the values of Total RAM dediate to web ser and max child process size.
My setting for both Prefork MPM and worker MPM are default , so I am tyring to adjust them.
