Can MySQL server run in uClinux Nios II?

Hi all,
I would like to use MySQL server with a Nios II processor and uClinux. The main problem is that there is no MMU support.

So I would like to know if MySQL server could work without MMU (vfork instead of fork, static libraries instead of dynamic, etc ...) with maybe some configuration options or it would be necessary to make big porting efforts.

Thank you very much.
