Hello
I've got a problem. I've got mysql running on a enterprise 420 for different test. After changing the rootpassword with -skip-grant-tables (it worked) the server didn't start again.
when i try to start it, this error occurs:

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2

when i try to start it with mysqld_safe this error occurs:

Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/opt/webstack/mysql/5.0/data
STOPPING server from pid file /var/opt/webstack/mysql/5.0/data/ch-app.pid
090212 17:22:12 mysqld ended

my errorlog looks as follow

my
please help me!

ps here is my my.cnf

# Example MySQL config file for small systems.
#
# This is for a system with little memory (<= 64M) where MySQL is only used
# from time to time and it's important that the mysqld daemon
# doesn't use much resources.
#
# You can copy this file to
# /etc/my.cnf to set global options,
# mysql-data-dir/my.cnf to set server-specific options (in this
# installation this directory is /var/opt/webstack/mysql/5.0/data) or
# ~/.my.cnf to set user-specific options.
