If i have Xampp? do i need to install MySQL Community Server?

I am Very interested to start learning MySQL.
I tried installing MySQL Community Server but had problems.
I have installed Xampp for PHP but i saw it also has MySQL. Do i need to install MySQL Community Server as well.... or will Xampp suffice?
