Drop User impact to application

I am new to mySQL and i have been working mostly on Oracle as DBA.
From mySQL 5.6 , i need to drop list of DBA users who left the organization and their account still exists in the database .

I tried dropping one use but one of application job failed with following error ,

ERROR 1449 (HY000) at line 1: The user specified as a definer ('hawthorr'@'%') does not exist

Now the ID should not hold any objects but still it has dependency looks like somewhere . To fix this i have re-created the ID and re-ran the loading job.

I am looking out ways to check /remove any dependency before dropping user. Any help is much appreciated .
