Thanks for the reply Peter.

No, it's not quite what I needed, I don't think. Although that gets me the min and max phase numbers, it doesn't combine them into a single query. Even if I were to join them in some intelligent way, I don't see how that would the yield the list as I need it.

To reiterate...

I need a unique list of all the tasks within phases 1-X (X is specified). The result set needs to have a column indicating if it appears in the X phase and a column indicating which phase it first appeared in.

Thanks for any other suggestions...
