SSL - "What we've got here is failure to communicate..."

I'm hoping to get an authoritative 'yes' or 'No' answer on this.

It can't be that hard surely?

If you know the answer, please just type 'yes' or no', and I'll take it from there.

Does anybody here know whether it's possible to establish an SSL connection to a remote database using the Query Browser client in Windows?

My testing so far seems to indicate that despite the fact that the client allows the user to configure an ssl-only connection to a remote server, that this functionality is just broken.

If this is the case, that's fine, I'll fashion some other solution for my client, but I really would like to know....

Cheers,

Simon
