I installed MySQL 4.0.15 at Linux Mandrake 9.2 that MySQL packages come with the Mandrake installation CD.
First, the server can start. (I started the server from Webmin).
Then i edited the my-large.conf and uncomment the innodb parameters coz i want to use innodb tables, copy and rename it to my.cnf at /etc/.
But the server didn't want to start. i checked the err log file, it said ERROR : unknown variable 'innodb_data_home_dir = /var/lib/mysql'

i also couldn't find mysql.sock at /var/lib/mysql.

any help will be great.
Thanks...

Regards,
Lee
