instaling 5.0 on MacIntel

I downloade the mysql-standard-5-1.0.19-osx10.4-i686.tar for my new MacBook Pro but ther seems to be no installer pkg with the download. I tried the commands listed for using the terminal but I can't get to first base.
Is there an easier way to install than with the terminal?
