MySql Downgrading help

Hi,
I have MySQL 5.0.33-log on my machine. Now I want to install MySQL5.0.27.tar.gz.
uname -ar command shows system information:
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.9-42.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jul 12 23:27:17 EDT 2006 i 686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Please tell me the steps required to downgrade it. How will I stop the currently running MySQL while installing and all other things?
