Need To Recover Database From My Old Computer
My old computer died suddenly but I am able to read the hard drive. I was able to copy the ibdatra1 file to my new computer but I don't know how to make it usable by the new version on MySQL. I tried replacing the version of ibdata1 created by the install with my old file but that didn't work so I restored the file that was created. There was an error about the sequence not matching the logfile but the server seemed to have recovered from that. I think I was running MySQL 5.0 on my old computer and now have MySQL 5.4 installed. Is there any way I can get the data from my old file into the new database?
