Help with Installation

I just downloaded mysql 4.2.0 - a windows installer package it was 13.5 MB
i installed it, i think its the server and i dont know wht to do now ,i want to learn sql statements and also php wth mysql, what should i do, how to execute sql statements.. shld i download anything more, plz help.. I cant see the client inside the bin folder, there is no bin folder.. plz help.. im stuck
