Configurare l'utente root
Buongiono a tutti,
ho un pc in dual boot tra Windows XP e Kubuntu 14.04.
Sono costretto a rimanere ancora con XP per questioni di compatibilità con un mio applicativo sviluppato in VB6.
Su Windows WP ho installato Xampp che comprende MySQL e phpMyAdmin e sono riuscito a farlo funzionare, anche spostando la cartella che contiene i vari db su un disco diverso da quello di sistema.
In Kubuntu invece non so dove mettere le mani per impostare la password dell'utente root che accede al server MySQL e per aggiornare il puntamento al disco dei db per condividere gli stessi database a cui accedo da Windos XP.
Qualcuno gentilmente può darmi una mano?
