mysql command line tool binary is not in the Connector/C distribution for download
Hallo, we have been using the MySQL C API and the mysql command line tool from MySQL 5.0.18 in our project until recently. We are now investigating an upgrade to Connector/C 6.0.2: this works nicely for the MySQL C API (libmysql), but the distribution of Connector/C (neither the tar archive, nor the source distribution when built with default options) does not include the mysql command line tool binary. It would be nice if the mysql command line tool was included in the Connector/C distribution (just like sqlplus is included in the Oracle instant client distribution, for instance). Does anyone know if we can get the mysql command line tool as a standalone doqnload, or do we need to download the full server installation of MySQL?
