Importing GML into MySQL

Hi Everybody I was looking for help. I am a long time user of MySQL but new to Spatial. I wish to insert some geographical data I currently hold in GML into MySQL. MySQL does not seem to natively support this. Has anybody got any suggestions. I thought a conversion to WKT would seem the best way forward but I cannot find a tool to easily support this.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated
