restore rollback

hi all! i am currently working on an application that performs backup and restore operation on a mysql database. i use MYSQLDUMP to create backups and MYSQL to restore. what i want to do now is to rollback a restore operation when there is an error in the script file. do i need to set something during backup to be able to do this? please help. thanks in advance
